This is the latest case we got after Twitter launched their “Login Verification” feature in twitter.

About Waratahs (Wikipedia)
An Australian rugby union football team, representing the majority of New South Wales in the Super Rugby (formerly Super 14) competition. The Riverina and other southern parts of the state, are represented by the Brumbies, who are based in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and owned by the ACT and Southern NSW Rugby Union.

According to an Australian Website:
The post, containing a single four-letter word and a link to a story about rugby league player Matt Ballin, who plays for Manly in the NRL, was posted on the Waratahs’ public Twitter profile at 3.34am AEST.
NSW issued an apology at 8.30am (AEST).
After the Account got hacked Waratahs apologized for that:

An apology. This account was hacked and we are deeply embarrassed by the highly inappropriate post this am. We apologise for any offence.
— HSBC Waratahs (@NSWWaratahs) May 23, 2013

The tweet had become the subject of feverish discussion on the micro blogging site.

It was a dramatic change of tone from Thursday night’s live auction of team jerseys.

A team spokesperson was contacted for comment.

The Waratahs play the Rebels in Melbourne on Friday night.
